Gen e seu irmão gêmeo, Jack, foram criados com os contos de sua mãe sobre a vida no Mundo Acima. Gen é cética, mas o aventureiro Jack acredita nas histórias - e troca a vaca da família por feições mágicos. Sua mãe se alegra, sabendo que eles podem finalmente voltar para sua casa real. 

Quando Jack planta os feijões e escala o caule encantado, é capturado pelo tirano que agora governa a terra. Gen parte para resgatar seu irmão, mas o perigo espera por ela no Mundo Acima. Porque encontrar Jack pode significar perder seu coração...

Gen and her twin brother, Jack, were raised with their mother's tales of life in the World Above. Gen is skeptical, but adventurous Jack believes the stories--and trades the family cow for magical beans. Their mother rejoices, knowing they can finally return to their royal home.

When Jack plants the beans and climbs the enchanted stalk, he is captured by the tyrant who now rules the land. Gen sets off to rescue her brother, but danger awaits her in the World Above. For finding Jack may mean losing her heart....
